In the midst of his victory lap on Monday night, Rudy Giuliani — attorney for President Donald Trump — made a pretty outrageous claim about special counsel Robert Mueller . Appearing on Hannity , the former New York City Mayor (in a moment flagged by the Washington Post ‘s Aaron Blake ), took a shot at Mueller for punting on the “key decision” — whether or not the president obstructed justice. And during his blistering critique, Giuliani made a fantastical comment referring to the special counsel’s personal salary during the two-year Russia investigation: The guy got paid somewhere upwards of $30 million, but he couldn’t make the key decision. His hands were shaking. The entire Russia investigation itself, as of December 2018, cost $25 million according to government filings. And Mueller’s personal salary has been reported to be $161,900 — according to multiple outlets. Mueller also, according to multiple reports, left behind a job in a Washington law firm which paid him $3.4 million . Watch above, via Fox News.
